This blog is intended to supplement a course offering for the Spring 2009 semester at the University of Iowa, The History of the Great Plains. Each book we read in the class will be shared on the blog, whereupon students and other participants can post questions or comments about the work or other related issues. We are 1958 graduates of Hastings High School in Hastings, Nebraska. Our class of 220 graduates was the first class to attend all 3 years in the new senior high school. Hastings Senior High School was built in 1955 and remains in use today. Of course, the school has undergone many renovations and additions over the years.
